Starting from April 29, 2023 (local time), China-bounded travelers are allowed to use Antigen Rapid Test(ART, including ART home testing kit) to replace PCR Test. Airlines companies will no longer check the negative PCR or ART test results. To facilitate traveling, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda has updated Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bounded Travelers. In order to avoid any travel delays and disruptions, please read the following information carefully and strictly abide by it.
Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Passengers
I. Pre-boarding PCR or ART Test: All China-bounded travelers are allowed to use Antigen Rapid Test(ART, including ART home testing kit) to replace PCR Test within 48 hours before boarding, and can only travel to China when your test result is negative or after it turns from positive to negative.
II. Health Declaration to China Customs: Passengers are required to declare the negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form either on WeChat (scan the QR code below),or at the web page (https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn), or via the China Customs mobile APP.
III. Airlines will no longer check the negative ART or PCR test results before boarding.
IV. On-board prevention measures: You are suggested to strictly follow the epidemic prevention and control requirements of airlines and take good personal prevention to reduce infection risks.
V. Entry inspection: You need to go through China Customs with your health declaration result. Those whose results and routine quarantine inspections are normal can enter China. China Customs will take random testing. If there are anomalies in your health declaration or you are showing symptoms such as fever, you need to cooperate with China Customs on epidemiology investigation and medical checking , and accept sampling testing on relevant infectious diseases.
VI. Local epidemic prevention: Once enter China, passengers should strictly follow requirements of epidemic prevention and control measures by local authorities.
