On November 9th, H.E. Wang Xuekun, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda visited FAWE Girl’s School in Kigali, and donated 300 set of desks and chairs to the school. Sister Eugenia Kairaba, Headmistress of the School and Mr. Kimenyi Bulakari, the Director of education in Gasabo District attended the activity.

Amb. Wang Xuekun quoted Chairman Mao saying that “The world is yours, as well as ours, but in the last analysis, it is yours.” He said that youth are the future and hope of a nation. Both China and Rwanda highly value the education development, which the Chinese Embassy actively supports. FAWE Girl’s School received Madame Peng Liyuan, China’s First Lady in 2018, witnessing the lasting and firm friendship between the two countries. The Embassy wishes to contribute to a better learning environment for the students with this donation, and hopes them grow up happily and healthily. China will continue to support the development of education in Rwanda, further deepening the traditional friendship.

Sister Kairaba thanked the Embassy for its long-term support, saying that the development of the school benefited from the China’s help. The school looks forward to strengthening the connection with the Embassy and expanding cooperation, to cultivate young talents that contribute to the society.

Amb. Wang Xuekun also tour the campus, visiting the library, computer room, and dormitories.
