On Dec. 15th, the finals of Rwanda National Kungfu Wushu Championship 2024 edition successfully concluded in Kigali. H.E. Wang Xuekun, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Mr. Valens Ishimwe, President of Rwanda Kungfu Wushu Federation (RKWF), and officials from local governments watched the competition.

In his remarks, Amb. Wang Xuekun praised the good spirit and performance of the players, and expressed his hope that the new leadership of the RKWF would continue to organize activities in good manner, promote Wushu in Rwanda, attract more people to participate in Wushu sport, so as to further promote the mutual understanding and exchanges between the two peoples of China and Rwanda.

Mr. Valens thanked the Embassy for its long-term support and expressed that the Federation would continue to work hard to organize events and manage national teams, cultivate young talents, and improve the level of Wushu sport in Rwanda.

About 70 players from all over Rwanda competed in the finals of Taolu and Sanda. More than 300 spectators came for the game.
