Chinese Cultural Exhibition Concluded in Rwanda

On November 9th,Chinese Culture Exhibition was heldin FAWE Girls School in Kigali, Rwanda. About 1,000 people attended, including Ambassador Wang Xuekun and his wife, representative from the Ministry of Education of Rwanda, Director of Confucius Institute at the university of Rwanda, Headmistress of FAWE Girls School, and teachers and students.

Ambassador Wang said, the culture between China and Rwanda are similar in many ways, the Beijing Summit of FOCAC presents new opportunities for bilateral cultural exchanges. He encouraged students to learn more about Chinese language and culture, and be the goodwill ambassador and contribute to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Rwanda.

Sister Marie recalled the highlight moment in 2018 when Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, visited the school accompanied by Jeannette Kagame, wife of President Paul Kagame. She expressed her willingness to continue to promote Chinese language and culture in Rwanda, contributing to the friendship between the two peoples.

The exhibition consists of paper cutting, hand writing, tea art etc., with the theme "Meet, Communicate, Learn from each other". Students from the Confucius Institute and FAWE Girls School performed Chinese songs, Kungfu and other programs. The atmosphere was friendly and warm.
