Amb. Rao Hongwei and Hon. Vincent Biruta exchange views on China-Rwanda cooperation to fight against COVID-19

On April 14th, 2020, H.E. Ambassador Rao Hongwei and Hon. Vincent Biruta, Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a video meeting, exchanging views on bilateral cooperation to fight against COVID-19.

Amb. Rao expressed solidarity to stand with Rwanda. Hon. Biruta said, Rwanda was still under important stage of combating against the pandemic and support from China was much appreciated and would go a long way towards triumphing over COVID-19.

Amb. Rao also briefed the Minister about Guangdong's anti-epidemic measures concerning African citizens in China. Hon. Biruta expressed his confidence in Chinese Government to well handle the situation. He said, attempts to use the pandemic to drive a wedge between China and Africa were bound to fail.
