In order to further facilitate visa applications, from now until 31 December 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda will exempt fingerprint collection for all applicants applying for short-term visas with a stay of no more than 180 days.

Fingerprint collection will still be required, in accordance with relevant regulations, for applicants of visas including D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z, which require the holder to apply for a residence permit after entry into China.
