To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Rwanda and the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Rwanda is pleased to launch the “China Through My Eyes” Competition for friends from all walks of life in Rwanda. The competition includes photography ( or short videos), painting, and Chinese song performance. Details are as follows:

I. Time Line

Submission: From 22 July to 11 September 2026

Awarding: 22 September 2026

II. Submission Requirements

1. Photography (including short videos)

Entries should be original and of high image quality. AI-generated images or videos, as well as plagiarized or misappropriated works, are strictly prohibited. For photos: JPG format, minimum resolution of 300 dpi, file size no less than 5 MB. For videos: MP4 format, minimum resolution of 720p, maximum length of 5 minutes.

2. Painting

Entries should be original. AI-generated works, as well as plagiarized or misappropriated works, are strictly prohibited.Submission format: JPG or PNG.Minimum resolution: 300 dpi.File size: no less than 5 MB.

3. Chinese Song Performance

Entries should be Chinese songs perfomance by participants. must personally perform a Chinese song. AI-generated songs are strictly prohibited. For audio MP3 or WAV format, accompanied by lyrics in Word or PDF format. For video, MP4 format with a minimum resolution of 720p and a maximum duration of 5 minutes.

III. How to Participate

Participants may publish the entries on their personal X accounts and @ChinaEmbinRW. Entry and the link to X should be sent tochinaemb_rw@mfa.gov.cn with the subject.

The submission should also include a description of author’s name,title of the works,date and location of creation anda brief introduction to the works (within 200 words).

IV. Awards

 First Prize (1 winner): A television set .

 Second Prize (2 winners): A smartphone.

 Third Prize (3 winners): A smartwatch.

 Merit Award (4 winners): A special gift.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. Winning entries will be displayed at related events.

V. Additional Provisions

1. Participants shall bear full legal responsibility for any infringement of third-party rights, including but not limited to copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, and privacy rights.

2. By participating, entrants agree that the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Rwanda, or its authorized partners, may use the submitted works for non-commercial public-interest purposes.
