On May 16, the Embassy of China in Rwanda held a seminar with media and think tanks. Representatives of the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA), New Times, Kigali Today, lgihe, Africa-China Review and other mainstream media, the University of Rwanda, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, and the Rwandese Patriotic Front attended the seminar.

Chargé d'affaires a.i. Ms. Lin Hang, Counselor Mr. Gao Zhiqiang, Director Zhang Xiaohong, and young diplomats from the Embassy introduced China's policy stance on the U.S. tariffs hikes, China-Rwanda economic and trade cooperation, and the Taiwan question, and had an in-depth interaction and discussion with the journalists and scholars.

The atmosphere was friendly and warm. Rwandese participants said that the symposium was very useful for all sectors in Rwanda to understand China's policy position on major and hot issues, which helped strengthen the understanding and friendship between the Embassy and all sectors in Rwanda, and formed a strong synergy to promote the development of China-Rwanda relations. It is hoped that the Embassy will organize such activities more often in the future.
