On July 10th, AmbassadorGAO Wenqi paid a courtesy call on Hon. Wellars GASAMAGERA, Secretary General of the Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF).

Ambassador GAO said it was a great honor to assume his office at a time when the bilateral relations between China and Rwanda are at their best in history. Since his arrival, he has witnessed firsthand the remarkable achievements in Rwanda’s economic and social development under the strong leadership of H.E. President Paul Kagame, Chairman of the RPF. In recent years, the two parties have maintained frequent high-level exchanges, continuously deepened political mutual trust, and achieved fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation across various fields, including governance, party school development, cadre training, preservation and utilization of revolutionary heritage sites. Ambassador GAO expressed his readiness to work with RPF to deepen party-to-party exchanges and cooperation, which will further guide the high-quality development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

Hon. Wellars GASAMAGERA warmly welcomed Ambassador GAO on his assumption of duty. He noted that both parties uphold people-centered policies, sharing a profound traditional friendship and pragmatic cooperation relationship. Rwanda appreciates China’s long-standing support for its economic and social development and stands ready to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China, draw on each other’s experiences, and advance the relations between the two parties and the two countries.
