On July 29, Ambassador Gao Wenqi presented the letter of credence to H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda.

Ambassador Gao conveyed to President Kagame warm greetings and best wishes of President Xi Jinping. He said, under the strategic guidance of the two Heads of State, China-Rwanda relations have been elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership featuring fruitful cooperation on all fronts. China stands ready to work with Rwanda to fully implement the important consensus reached between the two Heads of State and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. China is committed to enhancing political mutual trust and promoting practical cooperation, so as to deliver more tangible benefits to the two peoples.

President Kagame conveyed his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping. He noted that China is Rwanda’s reliable friend, and he looks forward to strengthening traditional friendship and practical cooperation between Rwanda and China.

Ambassador Gao arrived in Kigali on June 27.
