Chinese Embassy held symposium with Rwandan media and think tanks

On April 28, the Chinese Embassy held a symposium with Rwandan media and think tanks. Participants included seven mainstream media outlets, specifically the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, the New Times, Kigali Today, and Igihe, as well as scholars from the University of Rwanda, the Africa-China Review etc.. Representatives from Xinhua News Agency, China medical team, Confucius Institute, and the Rwanda-China Chamber of Commerce attended the symposium.

Ambassador Gao Wenqi, along with Minister-Counselor Ms. Li Hang, Counselor in charge of economic and commercial affairs, Mr. Gao Zhiqiang, outlined China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, zero-tariff policy, and stance on Taiwan question, the Middle East conflict, reviewed bilateral cooperation achievements across various fields. On the occasion of 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Rwanda,Amb. Gao pledged to jointly implement the four global initiatives, and promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples. Representatives from China medical team, Confucius Institute, and the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Rwanda attended the symposium and introduced their respective cooperation areas.

The event was filled with a warm and lively atmosphere. Participants interacted actively and highly commended Rwanda-China friendship and practical cooperation, acknowledging that China's development is an opportunity for the world, bring tangible benefits to the Rwandan people.
