On 14 July, Ambassador Gao Wenqi paid a courtesy call onMurwanashyaka Damien, Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Rwanda. Both sides held discussions on advancing key China-Rwanda cooperation projects.

Also present were Hon. Dr. Usta Kaitesi, Minister of State for foreign affairs, Col Claudian Bizimungu, Minister of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Mr. Armand Zingiro, Minister of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure; and Mr. Canosi Manishimwe, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure. Counsellor Gao Zhiqiang of the Chinese Embassy was also in attendance.
