On September 8, Ambassador Gao Wenqi attended the 6th Edition of the Renewable Energy for Sustainable Growth (RE4SG) Conference & Exhibition in Kigali and delivered a speech. Armand Zingiro, Minister of State of Infrastructure in Rwanda, Counselor Gao Zhiqiang also attended the event.

Ambassador Gao stated that energy transition is a systemic transformation that requires open and inclusive international cooperation. Over the 55 years of diplomatic relations between China and Rwanda, energy and green development have become the most dynamic engine of bilateral cooperation. China is ready to uphold the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith to deepen China-Rwanda energy cooperation and support Africa's energy transition and sustainable development.

Minister of State Zingiro commended China's active contributions and expressed their expectation for further cooperation to jointly promote green energy development in Africa.
