On September 25, Ambassador Gao Wenqi met with Mohamed El-Amin Souef, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Africa and Head of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA). 

Ambassador Gao briefed Mohamed EI-Amine Souef on China-Rwanda relations, noting that China is a true practitioner of multilateralism and stands ready to strengthen collaboration with the UNOCA and UN agencies in Rwanda, so as to make due contributions to peace and development of the Central African region.

Mohamed EI-Amine Souef commended China's cooperation with Rwanda and Africa, and its significant role in the UN. He expressed readiness to further collaborate with the Chinese side to boost peace, security, and socio-economic development across the African continent.
